The State of Cannabis in Washington State
Buckle up and pack your bowl while we sit and watch the most recent meeting of the Regulated Substances and Gaming Committee of the Washington State House of Representatives on 02/02/2023. Even after having medical shops since the mid-90s and 10 years of recreational use of cannabis, there are people who still fear the reefer.
In the episode of Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, it’s not just the people against the plant but also, how the process works. Things like this meeting happen during working hours and most people aren’t aware of the schedules for such meetings unless they have a vested interest.
Get ready to sit down for an hour and a half, to be disgusted and amused at the same time. While we fight against fake crusaders and other disinformation.
The too long to watch this is, Social Equity is opening up for 41 more retail stores from March 1st to 31st. The Substance and Gaming Committee met on several cannabis bills, two on taxing concentrates higher per THC Percentage, Homegrow, Tax Exemptions and arrest protections for cannabis patients, and some cannabis packaging provisions.
