The Institute on taxation and economic policy (ITEP) has researched the issue of how much money could be raised if cannabis was legalized and taxed.
Illinois could make over $400,000,000 a year and it could be as high as $750,000,000 if use rates rise to similar levels as those in Colorado or Washington State.
